Permanent Dental Implants
Titanium dental implants are a high tech option to replace the need for removable dentures.
Dental implants are suitable for:
- Fixing crowns, bridges and dentures securely
- Filling unsightly gaps and replacing missing teeth
- Offer a permanent solution which will last a lifetime
The Hospital Group uses titanium implants, which offer extraordinary strength, as the bone can grow directly around the titanium to create a new tooth root and make a strong foundation for crowns that will then feel and function like a natural tooth.
Dental Implant Procedure
It takes around thirty minutes to fit a titanium implant into the gum using a local anaesthetic.
After the implant is in place, crowns bridges or dentures can then be permanently secured to them.
The beauty of a titanium dental implant is that in 98% of cases, the bone can grow directly around it to create a strong new tooth root which will be a firm foundation for fixing crowns and bridges.
After the implant is in place, crowns, bridges or dentures can then be permanently secured to them.
This image shows a titanium implant fixed into the gum to secure a porcelain crown, filling in the gap left by a misssing tooth.
Filling in a gap in a smile is dramatically effective in making a smile more agreeable and attractive. This is often done alongside other cosmetic dentistry treatments, e.g. veneers, for an overall smile makeover.
