Healing and Recovery
Remember, any scar is permanent and scar revision will still leave a scar. However, the objective woudl be to have a straighter, neater scar which heals well.
Your new scar will be red and raised initially, but should then fade over the first year until it becomes white and less obvious.
To help reduce the appearance of scars,
The Hospital Group has developed exclusive Tamanu Balm to help with the healing of scars after surgery. Tamanu Balm contains a variety of exclusively selected natural ingredients which possess a unique capacity to promote the formation of new tissue, therefore accelerating wound healing and the growth of healthy skin. The balm is also moisturizing to help smooth and soften the skin as well as reduce the visible appearance of scars.
This product is available in our clinics or from the online shop. It is recommended for use after the initial wound has healed.
