Gastric Balloon Procedure Video

This procedure is carried out under sedation. The gastric balloon is inserted through the mouth and then inflated in the stomach.
As this is not a surgical procedure, there is no local or general anaesthetic and no scarring. Recovery is quick and patients return home on the same day.
Using keyhole camera, the consultant can see the stomach on screen, while he carefully fits the gastric balloon.
