Professional Teeth Whitening

A fresh, white smile makes a huge difference to your overall appearance
Professional teeth whitening at The Hospital Group is a tailor-made procedure carried out by our team of carefully chosen, experienced and skilled Cosmetic Dentists.
The procedure involves lightening the colour of the teeth to achieve a brighter look without harming the original tooth structure in any way.
Professional tooth whitening is ideal for:
- Giving you a whiter smile
- Tackling stains/discoloration
- People who consume curry, coffee, tea and red wine or smoke
- A fresher look to your teeth without damaging tooth structure
Professional teeth whitening can be used alone or to complement other treatments e.g. invisible braces or alongide veneers within a total "smile makeover"

The Tooth Whitening Procedure
The Hospital Group offers both professional whitening in specially equipped Cosmetic Dentistry Suites and courses of home whitening with tailor-made whitening trays.
Tooth whitening in the clinic offers an accelerated approach by using special powerful lamps. Tooth whitening at home enables patients to repeat the treatment and build up a benefit more gradually.
Professional dental teeth whitening involves the use of strong chemicals to get better results than any over-the-counter treatment could offer. However, the procedure doesn’t harm or damage the original tooth structure in any way.
The results are instant after the first session but the effects can last 2-3 years.
It’s one of the simplest and most effective ways of achieving a brighter, more attractive smile.
Enhances Other Treatments
Tooth whitening can be chosen on its own to whiten and brighten the smile. However, it is also commonly used as part of an overall treatment plan, e.g.:
- Complete the effect of straighter teeth after invisible braces
- Whitening on the lower teeth to accompany upper teeth veneers
- Overall whitening after implants and crowns have been fitted
Aftercare
Normal dental hygiene should be followed in order to keep your teeth in top condition.
We advise avoiding curries, coffee and red wine for 48 hours after treatment. Generally cutting back on these staining foods will help to maintain the whiteness for longer.
