What is Restylane?
Restylane is a clear gel form of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance found naturally in the body and in the skin, although levels do diminish with age. Hyaluronic acid holds water and acts as a hydrating agent within the skin. Its unique properties preserve moisture levels in the dermis and boost skin tone, giving it volume.
Restylane is injected using very fine needles into the skin to provide extra volume. This could be to fill out deep lines between the eyebrows, or to create fuller lips.

How long does the treatment last?
For facial lines, follow - up treatments are usually held every 6-12 months. However after lip treatments, a follow is shorter, normally required every 4-6 months.
Frequency of treatment depends on the individual - issues such as how long you have been having the treatments, whether you smoke, your diet can be a factor.
